Tobacco regulatory science at HHS seeks to reduce back the morbidity and mortality from tobacco use, including by stopping youngsters and youth from ever starting to use tobacco. With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, HHS has been shifting ahead to implement the legislation and help enhance the well being of hundreds of thousands of Americans. The law puts in place comprehensive reforms that defend Americans from the worst insurance firm abuses, makes medical health insurance more affordable, supplies higher access to care and coverage, and strengthens Medicare.
